Unsere Story
Cal was raised by a middle-school math teacher and administrator of 25
years and spent many years of his childhood playing under classroom desks and
organizing teacher’s classrooms for fun. This background provided Cal a
tremendous respect for educators and led him to pursue a career as a teacher.
In high school, Cal found his passion for language learning after his French
teacher recognized and encouraged his language acquisition skills, sending Cal down
the path toward teaching French. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in French and
Spanish, Cal spent a year teaching English to middle and high schoolers in rural France,
confirming his love for teaching. In 2021, Cal graduated with an M.A. in Teaching French as a Foreign
Language and began his career working in world language education and curricular development. In 2023, Cal began working at Immerse, an innovative XR language learning platform, teaching English to speakers of other languages located all around the world.
