Introduction
Originally from a small rural farm in Oregon in the USA, but now live in Germany. Grew up quite poor, so taught myself through high-school, worked multiple jobs to put myself through college, and overcame several other personal challenges.
I've always been entrepreneurial, though I didn't know it for many years. I built my first small business at 8 years old (organic turkey farm). Launched multiple social ventures in college. Ended up working in a biotech startup out of college. Discovered that the startup/entrepreneurial universe was where I thrive, and haven't looked back since.
I somehow married the most amazing woman in the world (11 years ago), who in spite of my entrepreneurial and financial ups and downs, has stuck with me through it all. We have two beautiful kids, and love being close to the Alps.
I enjoy hiking, traveling, good food, language learning, mountaineering, climbing, and startups. And music. And learning new things, like coding, drones, 3D printing, etc...
