I'm a sales and marketing senior executive with over 20 years international experience and a true passion for retail and customer centricity. In 2021 I decided to shift my career out of the oil industry, determined to serve a more sustainable purpose.
I'm 47 years old and grew up in a family of entrepreneurs in the area of Wavre. Together with my Dutch husband we have 2 children: a 9 years old daughter and 6 years old foster son. We have lived and work in Finland, The Netherlands, UK and have settled back in Belgium in 2015.
I graduated at the Université Catholique de Louvain as a business engineer and Master in international management (CEMS).
I spent most of my career at ExxonMobil. The first 10 years in retail, which led me to run 15 petrol stations in London, and to grow the Benelux shop business (125 stores/250M$ turnover) with double digits for 3 consecutive year. The last years of my career with them, I headed the European digital and customer experience roadmap developments. When corona came, I reflected and decided to exit this industry I always felt slightly ashamed to be working for. I studied circular economy and sustainability strategies and fell in love with the concept of triple bottom line: People, Planet, Profit.
