Introduction
Nobody believed that I would already be a professor at the age of just 28 and that I would be campaigning for the visibility of women in STEM subjects. In addition, a few years ago, nobody believed that AI would play such a big role in our lives and soon also in our health. We are writing the rules of tomorrow's medicine and making it fairer, more ethical and more sustainable. After my postdoctoral fellowship at UPENN, I became one of the youngest female professors at RWTH Aachen University and made an important contribution to the digitalisation of medicine in Germany. My 52 publications, mostly in high-ranking journals, have been recognised with numerous prizes and awards and are testament to my significant contributions to the field, changing our approach towards personalised medicine.
