On our trips through South America, we fell for the Latin American dances. In our memories, the salsa nights, the music and the resulting friendship are highlights. But we also remembered that it was always very difficult to find out the relevant information: when and where does the party take place? Where is a dance school? where do the Salsa / Bachata or Merengue dancers meet?

There is no organized dance industry associated with international tourism in Latin America, the origin of salsa, bachata etc. bars, clubs and dance schools find it difficult to open their doors, show their products and services and make access easier for potential customers. This is a gap in the market because dance tourists look for an authentic experience and want to learn the dances in their place of origin and immerse themselves in the local dance scene. But the difficulty is keeping track of where, what, when.

The potential market is huge. In Cali (Valle del Cauca, Colombia), our headquarter, there are an estimated 2,000 to 3,000 dance schools or people working as dance teachers. But there is almost no information about the existing offers. Many more countries or cities being popular destinations for passionate dancers are struggling with the same difficulties: Cuba and Salsa, Dominican Republic and Bachata, Argentina and Tango, Africa and Kizomba or Brazil and Forró ...

The dance community is growing daily in the US, Europe and Asia. Many dancers practice a dance tourism and travel from festival to festival or want to join the local dance scene during their holidays.
